Rich Color Enhancer is an original two-mode color optimization technology built into the REZ15 Series. Dynamic Mode balances brightness and color saturation for clear, accurate visibility in well-lit environments. Standard Mode expands red-channel output to deliver vibrant red tones critical for faithful reproduction of artwork and color-rich content. Together, these modes ensure that whatever you project — from museum installations to live concerts — colors appear vivid, accurate, and true to the creator's intent.

Panasonic has tackled the persistent challenge of black-level uniformity in blended areas on curved screens with a more flexible, precision-driven approach. Up to 17 control points allow you to reshape black borders to fit arbitrary screen shapes without distortion. Black levels can be set within a half-pixel margin for truly seamless blends, even at close viewing distances. An additional refinement unlinks black-level adjustment from geometric correction, allowing settings to be applied across the full blend area — including image overlaps outside the display area — eliminating unwanted black-level bumps after geometric adjustment.

Color banding in shaded gradients can ruin an otherwise flawless projection, especially when source content lacks sufficient color bit depth. Gradation Smoother detects and corrects banding automatically, with three selectable correction levels accessible directly from the projector remote. It can be disabled when not needed, giving you full control without any workflow overhead. Crucially, it works as a real-time fix during the event — a genuine lifesaver when there's no time to re-edit the source content. Projectors ship with Gradation Smoother set to factory default level 2.

The REZ15 Series optical engine and laser light source conform to the IP5X Dust Protected standard (IEC 60529), eliminating the need for a filter and enabling up to 20,000 hours of maintenance-free projection. Reliability is validated through accelerated dust-chamber testing under conditions significantly more demanding than those used by some competitors. The refined liquid cooling system keeps the unit running quietly — as low as 32 dB in QUIET Mode — so audiences remain immersed in the experience. At around 20,000 hours, light output will have decreased by approximately 50%; Panasonic recommends a checkup at that point.

The REZ15 Series delivers full brightness up to 15,000 lm on standard AC 100–240 V power, removing the need to rewire venues for high-voltage supply. This dramatically reduces installation time, cost, and resource consumption — particularly valuable for touring productions and temporary installations that move between venues. The compact, two-person-carry body also reduces transport and storage carbon footprint, making the REZ15 Series a resource-conscious choice without any sacrifice in output.

REZ15 Series is compatible with a new range of optional motor-driven fixed, zoom, and ultra-short-throw zoom lenses covering throw ratios from 0.308:1, making it possible to deliver immersive projections in spaces of any size or configuration. The new lenses improve native contrast, minimize flare and color blur, and offer a wider lens shift range than previous designs. Lens Memory and Auto Lens Identification are standard, and for the first time, powered periphery focus adjustment is supported via the remote control or the Smart Projector Control app — a significant time-saver during installation and pre-show checks.

Two layers of hardware redundancy protect critical projections from interruption. Backup Input allows simultaneous transmission of identical signals to HDMI 1 (Primary) and HDMI 2 (Backup); if the primary signal drops, the projector switches to backup automatically in as little as 0.3 seconds — with no screen blanking. Additionally, Multi Laser Drive Engine equips each laser module with Failover Circuitry: if a single diode fails, power continues to flow to the remaining functional diodes, minimizing brightness loss. Without this technology, a single diode failure could cause an entire module to shut down, resulting in a dramatic and visible drop in output.
