REZ15 Series is compatible with a new range of optional motor-driven fixed, zoom, and ultra-short-throw zoom lenses covering throw ratios from 0.308:1, making immersive projection achievable in virtually any space. The new lenses improve native contrast, reduce flare and color blur, and offer a wider lens shift range than previous generations. Lens Memory and Auto Lens Identification come standard, and for the first time, powered periphery focus adjustment is supported via the projector's remote control or the free Smart Projector Control app — giving installers precise edge focus without manual intervention.

The REZ15 Series optical engine and laser light source meet the IP5X Dust Protected standard (IEC 60529), removing the need for a filter entirely and enabling up to 20,000 hours of maintenance-free projection — validated through accelerated dust-chamber testing in conditions significantly more demanding than those used to certify competing products. At that threshold, light output will have decreased by approximately 50%, after which Panasonic recommends a service inspection. The result is a projection platform that suits long-running permanent installations and demanding rental or touring environments alike.

Two layers of redundancy protect against interruptions during live events. Backup Input allows identical signals to be sent simultaneously to HDMI 1 (Primary) and HDMI 2 (Backup): if the primary feed drops, the projector switches to backup in as little as 0.3 seconds without blanking the screen. Independently, Multi Laser Drive Engine equips multiple laser modules with Failover Circuitry — if a single diode fails, power is automatically redirected to the remaining functional diodes in the series, minimizing brightness loss rather than shutting down the entire module.

REZ15 Series is built to save time at every stage of deployment. NFC function lets you configure projector settings — including Projector ID and IP address — directly from your phone before AC power is even available on site, eliminating pre-show delays. The free Smart Projector Control app manages up to 64 projectors from a single mobile device and supports OSD-free adjustments when projection isn't possible. Custom user test patterns, startup logos, and no-signal screensavers can be registered directly to the projector, and preactivated Geo Pro upgrade kits include Geometry Manager Pro and Auto Screen Adjustment software to automate edge blending calibration.

REZ15 Series supports 360° projection angles, enabling image mapping on floors, walls, ceilings, and irregular 3D objects. Aligning a projector's physical angle with a design simulation is typically a two-person task, but the built-in gyro sensor solves this: it detects real-time changes in pitch and roll and displays them graphically in the OSD menu, allowing a single installer to dial in the exact projection angle without assistance. Compatibility with ET-FMP50 Series media processors — available as standalone box units or as function boards for the Intel® SDM-compatible SLOT — further simplifies warping, blending, and media playback in complex multi-projection setups.
