Digital Art Mode is a dedicated picture mode designed for museums, galleries, and immersive entertainment spaces. It emphasizes high contrast and vivid color reproduction, making high-quality digital artwork appear more impactful on screen. Switching to this mode requires no complex configuration — it's a straightforward enhancement that elevates presentation quality without additional hardware.

The RQ7 Series integrates seamlessly with Panasonic's ET-FMP50 Series media processors, available in box-type and Intel® SDM standard-compatible function board formats. These processors deliver automatic camera-based warping and blending alongside 4K media playback, dramatically reducing the complexity of large multi-projection installations. Compatible cameras (sold separately) include NIKON® D5200, D5300, D5500, D5600, D7500, and Z50.

The Intel® SDM standard-compatible SLOT accepts both Panasonic proprietary and select third-party function boards, making it straightforward to adapt the RQ7 Series to evolving connectivity requirements. This flexibility allows integrators to scale installations over time without replacing the projector. Note: transmission to the slot must be via HDMI™ signal. Optional boards are sold separately; Panasonic cannot guarantee third-party device operation.

The Smart Projector Control app lets you manage up to 64 projectors from a smartphone or tablet. Functions include setting adjustments, test pattern selection, shutter control, lens and focus calibration, brightness locking, and Web Control UI access. Focus adjustment via the device camera works from distances of up to 30 m (98 ft). Quick QR Code scanning establishes the connection instantly, eliminating manual password and SSID entry.

The RQ7 Series ships with preactivated licenses for both the ET-UK20 Geometry Manager Pro Software Upgrade Kit — adding line, shape, and bitmap masking — and the ET-CUK10 Auto Screen Adjustment Upgrade Kit, which automates edge-blending with camera-based brightness, color, and black-level correction. A point-based Free Grid function corrects localized screen distortion. Geometry Manager Pro software is available free via PASS registration.

Traditional Dynamic Contrast operates independently per projector, causing visible step noise at blend zones due to differing Average Picture Levels. Panasonic's Contrast Sync resolves this by averaging APL across all projectors in the system, delivering a seamless, consistent image. The RQ7 Series is the first Panasonic projector to implement Contrast Sync via LAN only, removing the need for serial cabling and simplifying system architecture. Shutter fade-in/fade-out timing is also synchronized across all units via LAN.

The RQ7 Series optical engine and laser light source conform to IP5X Dust Protection (IEC 60529), eliminating the need for a dust filter and enabling up to 20,000 hours of maintenance-free operation. Reliability is validated through accelerated dust-chamber testing under conditions more demanding than those used by some competing products. Multiple laser modules also include Failover Circuitry: if a single diode fails, power continues to flow to remaining functional diodes, minimizing brightness loss and avoiding total module shutdown.
