Digital Art Mode is a dedicated picture mode designed for museums, galleries, and immersive entertainment venues. It enhances contrast and color vividness to ensure high-quality digital artwork is presented with maximum visual impact. Switching to this mode requires no complex configuration — it is purpose-built to elevate the viewing experience for demanding artistic content, making it a practical tool for curators and AV integrators working in cultural spaces.

The Smart Projector Control app lets you manage up to 64 projectors simultaneously from a smartphone or tablet. Functions include OSD-free setting adjustments, test pattern selection, shutter control, lens and brightness settings, and focus adjustment via your device's camera from up to 30 m (98 ft) away. Connecting to a projector is fast and seamless — simply scan a QR code to establish the link without entering passwords or SSID details manually.

The RQ7 Series includes built-in geometric adjustment tools, highlighted by the point-based Free Grid function for correcting localized screen distortion. Each unit ships with preactivated licenses for Geometry Manager Pro (ET-UK20) — adding sophisticated line, shape, and bitmap masking — and the Auto Screen Adjustment Kit (ET-CUK10), which automates edge-blending, brightness, color, and black-level correction via a compatible camera. These tools significantly reduce setup time in complex multi-projection installations.

Traditionally, Dynamic Contrast operated independently on each projector in a multi-screen system, causing visible brightness steps at blend zones due to differences in Average Picture Level (APL). Panasonic's Contrast Sync solves this by calculating a unified APL across all projectors in the network, producing a seamless multi-screen result. The RQ7 Series is the first Panasonic projector to support Contrast Sync via LAN only — no serial cables required — reducing system complexity while also synchronizing shutter fade-in/fade-out across all units via the same LAN connection.

Two identical signals can be fed simultaneously to HDMI 1 (Primary) and HDMI 2 (Backup). If the primary signal is lost, the projector switches to backup in as little as 0.3 seconds without blanking the screen — essential at live events where any interruption is unacceptable. On the light-source side, multiple laser modules include Failover Circuitry: if a single diode fails, power is redistributed to the remaining functional diodes, minimizing brightness loss rather than shutting down the entire module.

The RQ7 Series optical engine and laser light source meet the IP5X Dust Protected standard (IEC 60529), eliminating the need for a filter and enabling up to 20,000 hours of maintenance-free operation. Reliability is validated through accelerated dust-chamber testing under conditions significantly harsher than those used by some competing products. A built-in gyro sensor also aids 360° installation — displaying pitch and roll angles in the OSD — so a single installer can align floor, wall, or ceiling projections without an assistant.

The RQ7 Series is built with sustainability in mind. Approximately 73% of the plastic parts in the main projector body (by weight) are made from recycled resins, reducing reliance on virgin materials. A new Eco Boost mode further cuts energy consumption when Dynamic Contrast is active while maintaining perceived brightness. Together, these features support organizations pursuing greener procurement policies and help minimize environmental impact across the product's full lifecycle.
