The VMZ7ST Series features an upgraded Screen Adjustment suite with an intuitive graphical interface (GUI) operable entirely via remote control, with no PC required. The suite includes Curved Screen Correction, where each side of the image can now be adjusted independently for accurate alignment on curved surfaces—ideal for sports simulators and museum exhibits. A Grid function corrects minor distortion across an 11×17 fixed grid, while 6-Point Screen Adjustment gives fine-tuned control over image geometry for corner or column projections. 4-Corner Adjustment allows each corner to be moved independently and saved for reuse across rooms, and Maintain Aspect Ratio prevents warping during edge alignment. Together, these tools cover virtually any installation geometry cleanly and quickly.

The VMZ7ST Series' high-efficiency optical engine delivers up to 7,000 lm brightness, ensuring vibrant visuals even on large screens in well-lit environments. Its 5,000,000:1 Dynamic Contrast ratio analyzes each frame individually to regulate light output, producing deeper blacks, brighter whites, and more natural skin tones. Daylight View Basic uses an ambient light sensor to automatically optimize sharpness, contrast, halftone color, and brightness for the room's conditions—so the image remains clear and detailed regardless of lighting changes. For golf simulators and sports applications, the new Vivid Green Mode enhances green tones through signal-gain adjustment and color balance optimization, delivering more natural, immersive visuals. WUXGA (1920×1200) LCD panels ensure sharp, smooth text edges even for viewers seated farthest from the screen.

The VMZ7ST Series accepts 4K video signals via DIGITAL LINK and HDMI™ terminals, converting them to the projector's native WUXGA resolution (1920×1200) without requiring external converters or content re-encoding. DIGITAL LINK is based on HDBaseT™ and transmits video, audio, and control signals over a single CAT 5e LAN cable, reducing cable runs in schools, offices, and entertainment venues. A dedicated LAN terminal supports IPv6, Art-Net DMX, PJLink™ Class 2, Crestron Connected® V2, Crestron® XiO Cloud, and Extron XTP®. An emulation function ensures compatibility with legacy management software. Both HDMI™ inputs support CEC command-compatible signals, enabling limited projector control directly from connected source devices. An optional AJ-WM50 Series Wireless Module (sold separately) adds wireless LAN connectivity, allowing laptop or smartphone content to be shared via QR code pairing with no SSID or password entry required.

Configuring a large fleet of projectors one by one is time-consuming and error-prone. The VMZ7ST Series addresses this with a data cloning function that copies main projector settings—including saved screen adjustment data—to up to 99 sub-projectors simultaneously via LAN, or to any number individually via USB flash drive. This is supported on identical models only and excludes passwords, projector names, IDs, time, date, time zone, and network settings. For organizations deploying projectors across multiple classrooms, conference rooms, or event spaces, data cloning significantly reduces installation time and ensures consistent configuration across the entire fleet.

The VMZ7ST Series was designed with sustainability at every level. Approximately 56% of the plastic in the projector's main body is recycled resin, reducing reliance on virgin materials. Recyclable cardboard insulation replaces foam in the shipping carton, and unnecessary packaging has been eliminated. The laser light source operates for approximately 20,000 hours without maintenance, eliminating the lamp replacements and mercury disposal associated with traditional projectors. The long-life ECO Filter—featuring a Micro-Cut electrostatic filter element—is recommended for replacement at 20,000 hours under typical commercial conditions and can be washed and reused up to twice before replacement, cutting consumable costs and waste. An Image Detection function dims or switches off the light source after a set period of inactivity, and built-in scheduling supports automated on/off operation to minimize idle energy consumption.
