This technology is also more energy-efficient than comparable approaches and can be tuned to match the content type or the room's ambient lighting. Complementing this, Daylight View Basic uses an ambient light sensor to automatically fine-tune sharpness, color, contrast, and brightness, delivering a clearer, more detailed image under any lighting condition without manual intervention.

WUXGA (1920 × 1200) LCD panels deliver crisp text edges and smooth gradients, making content easy to read even for those seated farthest from the screen. A new Vivid Green Mode enhances green tones by adjusting signal gain and optimizing color balance, producing deeper greens and brighter midtones — ideal for sports simulations such as golf, as well as museum exhibits and corporate visual displays. The VMZ82 Series also supports native 21:9 widescreen projection, allowing video conferencing layouts to be displayed at their original aspect ratio, aligning remote participants at eye level with in-room attendees.

Available in black or white, the VMZ82 Series holds the title of the world's smallest and lightest projector in its brightness class, integrating seamlessly into offices, classrooms, museums, and corporate spaces without drawing attention. Its heat-resistant laser light source contributes to ultra-quiet operation — as low as 25 dB in Quiet 2 Mode (PT-VMZ62), comparable to the sound of rustling leaves. This level of silence ensures that conversations, lessons, and presentations remain clear and uninterrupted, whether the session is in-person or hybrid.

The VMZ82 Series projects a 100-inch image from just 2.35 m and supports screens up to 300 inches. The 1.6× optical zoom (throw ratio: 1.09–1.77:1) combined with lens shift (V: +44%, H: ±20%) provides wide mounting flexibility, accommodating off-axis and high-ceiling positions while preserving image geometry. A built-in gyro sensor displays pitch and roll angles in the OSD, allowing a single installer to align the projection angle accurately without assistance. Digital Zoom Extender and Digital Image Shift further extend installation flexibility, enabling reuse of existing ceiling mounts and reducing construction costs.

The upgraded Screen Adjustment suite features an intuitive graphical interface that simplifies setup without requiring a connected PC. Curved Correction now adjusts each side of the image independently, enabling precise alignment on curved surfaces for sports simulators, museum exhibits, and corporate displays. The 6-Point Screen Adjustment system provides fine-tuned geometry control for corner or column projections in compact meeting rooms or gallery installations. A grid-based distortion correction tool and 4-Corner Adjustment with saveable settings round out a toolkit that makes accurate image geometry achievable in virtually any space.

4K DIGITAL LINK transmits video, audio, and control signals over a single CAT 5e cable, simplifying wiring in schools, offices, and entertainment venues. Both HDMI inputs support CEC, enabling automatic power-on, source switching, and shutdown from a compatible source device. Wireless content sharing is available via the optional AJ-WM50 Series Wireless Module — simply scan the QR code on the OSD to connect a smartphone or laptop without SSID or password entry. For large deployments, data cloning copies settings to up to 99 sub-projectors via LAN, and full integration with Crestron Connected V2, Crestron XiO Cloud, Extron XTP, PJLink Class 2, Art-Net DMX, and IPv6 ensures compatibility with any AV infrastructure.

The laser light source operates for approximately 20,000 hours without maintenance, eliminating the recurring cost and downtime of lamp replacements and removing the need for mercury lamp disposal. The ECO Filter with Micro-Cut technology captures fine particles electrostatically and can be washed and reused up to twice, with a recommended replacement interval of 20,000 hours in typical commercial environments. The VMZ82 Series is also 27% more energy efficient than the previous VMZ71 Series, generating 21.2 lm/W in NORMAL mode. The projector's main body incorporates approximately 59% recycled resin by weight of plastic parts, and foam packaging has been replaced with recyclable cardboard — reflecting a commitment to sustainability across the product's entire lifecycle.
