Classrooms and offices are rarely dark, yet the TMZ400 Series delivers up to 4,000 lm of laser brightness (PT-TMZ400: 4,000 lm; PT-TMW380/TMX380: 3,800 lm), producing sharp, well-saturated images even with room lights on and blinds open. Unlike lamp-based projectors that fade over time, the laser light source maintains consistently uniform color reproduction, so your audience sees vivid, accurate images from the first day to the last.
At just 4.9 kg (10.8 lbs) and a footprint barely larger than a laptop, the TMZ400 Series is genuinely easy to carry between rooms, buildings, or events. Setup takes moments — place it on a desk, connect your source, and start presenting. It's equally at home ceiling-mounted for a permanent installation, combining TV-like plug-and-play convenience with the flexibility to move it whenever your needs change.
Real installation spaces are rarely ideal — ceiling lights, air-conditioning vents, or excessive throw distance can all make it impossible to center the projector perfectly. Digital Zoom Extender solves this by extending the throw range beyond optical zoom, so the image fills the screen at the right size even from a non-standard distance. The new Digital Image Shift function lets you offset the projected image up to 10% up, down, left, or right via the remote control, compensating for off-center mounting without moving the projector physically. This also means the TMZ400 Series accepts the same mounting brackets as the conventional lamp-based PT-TW381R Series — swap in the new unit and use Digital Zoom Extender to realign the image, with no new construction required. Note: resolution decreases when using Digital Zoom Extender or Image Shift, some screen correction functions are unavailable, corner adjustment range is limited, and image size reduces to 80% when Digital Image Shift is active.
One of the most compelling advantages of laser projection is drastically reduced maintenance. Both the light source and the ECO Filter are rated to approximately 20,000 hours before replacement is needed — over the same period, a comparable lamp projector would require one to four lamp changes plus multiple filter services. The ECO Filter can also be washed and reused up to two times, cutting waste and consumable costs further. No expired lamps to dispose of, no unplanned downtime for bulb failures, and no surprise maintenance bills. The laser light source also ramps brightness gradually and reproduces colors consistently throughout its life, so image quality remains vivid right up to the end of the rated lifespan. *At approximately 20,000 hours, light output will have decreased to around 50% of its original level under standard test conditions.
