The projectors also integrate with Panasonic's optional ET-SWR10 Real-Time Tracking Projection-Mapping System, which includes a ready-to-use SDK. Linked with infrared cameras, it projects images onto fast-moving objects at 240 Hz, seamlessly blending visual content with physical motion inside XR attractions.

With a body about 29% smaller by volume and 22% lighter than the RZ790/RZ690 models, the RQ7 Series cuts transport, storage, and installation costs while reducing your carbon footprint. Two-person carry and installation simplify multi-projection logistics significantly. The RQ7 Series is compatible with Panasonic's DLE Series projection lenses, offering versatility across diverse installation layouts and making the upgrade to 4K more cost-effective for facilities with existing lens inventories. The reinforced lens mount now supports the ET-DLE020G/ET-DLE020 Ultra-Short-Throw Zoom Lens without an additional bracket, simplifying installation. Powered zoom, focus, and vertical/horizontal lens shift are all controllable via remote control or the Smart Projector Control app.

The Smart Projector Control app lets you manage up to 64 projectors simultaneously from a smartphone or tablet. It supports projector setting adjustments directly from your device — useful when on-screen OSD projection is not possible — along with test pattern selection, shutter control, Web Control UI access, lens adjustment, brightness locking, and camera-based focus adjustment from distances of up to 30 m. Traditional Dynamic Contrast systems operate individually per projector, causing step-noise artifacts in blended multi-screen setups due to variations in Average Picture Level (APL). Panasonic's Contrast Sync resolves this by synchronizing all projectors using the average APL of the entire system, producing a seamless multi-screen image. The RQ7 Series is the first Panasonic projector to support Contrast Sync via LAN cable only, removing the need for serial connections and reducing system complexity. Shutter timing across all sub-projectors is also synchronized with the main unit via LAN, ensuring consistent fade-in and fade-out effects across the full projection surface.

The RQ7 Series optical engine and laser light source meet the IP5X Dust Protected standard (IEC 60529), eliminating the need for a filter and enabling up to 20,000 hours of maintenance-free operation. Reliability is validated through accelerated dust-chamber testing under conditions significantly harsher than those used for many competing products.
