A new scene-recognition circuit accurately identifies bright and dark regions in each frame, enabling a higher 25,000:1 contrast ratio that makes blacks deeper and highlights more vivid. Rich Color Enhancer adds a two-mode color optimization system: Dynamic Mode balances brightness and color for clear visibility in bright environments, while Standard Mode expands red-channel output for vibrant, accurate color reproduction — essential for artwork, brand content, and any material where color fidelity drives the experience.

Panasonic's refined black-level adjustment supports up to 17 control points for reshaping black borders to fit arbitrary curved screen geometries without distortion, with half-pixel precision for seamless blends even at close viewing range. Black-level and geometric adjustments are now unlinked, so black-level settings apply to the entire blended area — including image overlaps outside the display zone — eliminating the brightness bumps that typically appear in multi-projector curved-screen installations. Gradation Smoother further corrects color banding in shaded gradients, with three selectable correction levels adjustable from the remote.

The REZ15 Series is compatible with new optional motor-driven fixed, zoom, and ultra-short-throw zoom lenses featuring throw ratios from 0.308:1, improved native contrast, reduced flare and color blur, and a wider lens shift range than previous generations. Lens Memory and Auto Lens Identification are included as standard, and for the first time, powered periphery focus adjustment is supported via remote control or the Smart Projector Control app — giving installers precise focus control across the entire image area without manual intervention.

The optical engine and laser light source conform to the IP5X Dust Protected (IEC 60529) standard, eliminating the need for a filter and enabling up to 20,000 hours of maintenance-free operation. Reliability is validated through accelerated dust-chamber testing in conditions significantly more demanding than those used to test many competing products. The high-efficiency liquid cooling system keeps operating noise as low as 32 dB, so the audience stays focused on the experience rather than the equipment.

Two identical signals can be fed simultaneously to HDMI 1 (Primary) and HDMI 2 (Backup). If the primary signal is interrupted, the projector switches to backup in as little as 0.3 seconds — without blanking the screen. Additionally, Multi Laser Drive Engine equips each laser module with Failover Circuitry: if a single diode fails, power is redistributed to the remaining functional diodes, minimizing brightness loss. Without this protection, an entire module could shut down, causing a significant and visible drop in output during a live event.

An Intel® SDM standard-compatible SLOT accepts optional proprietary and third-party function boards, making it straightforward to add AVoIP transmission and expand connectivity as project requirements evolve. The REZ15 Series is also compatible with ET-FMP50 Series media processors — available as box-type or as a function board for the SLOT — which deliver automatic warping, blending, and media playback for multi-projection setups. Custom user test patterns, start-up logos, and screensavers can be registered directly to the projector.

NFC function lets operators configure projector settings — including Projector ID and IP address — using the Smart Projector Control app with the projector unpowered, eliminating pre-event delays. Preactivated Geo Pro upgrade kits include ET-UK20 Geometry Manager Pro (advanced masking and geometry tools) and ET-CUK10 Auto Screen Adjustment (automated edge-blending calibration via camera). A gyro sensor displays pitch and roll angles in the OSD, enabling solo angle adjustment for 360° projection. Remote Preview LITE lets projectionists verify content and connectivity via thumbnail previews before projection begins — even with the shutter closed.
